Kamal al-Din or Shams al-Din Mohammad Vahshi Bafghi is one of the most famous poets of the tenth century in Iran, who was born in 939 AH in the city of Bafgh in Yazd. His life period coincided with the reign of Shah Tahmasb Safavid, Shah Ismail II and Shah Mohammad Khodabandeh. He completed his primary education in his hometown. Vahshi went to Yazd in his youth and obtained favors from the scientists and speakers of that city, and after a few years he left for Kashan and chose the job of a schoolboy. After living in Kashan and traveling to the port of Hormoz and India, he returned to Yazd in the middle of his life and lived in this city until the end of his life (991 AH).
