Turn your tablet into a real-time seismic monitor

This version is designed to turn a tablet into a permanent seismic activity monitor. If you have a device you're not using, you can dedicate it exclusively to keeping the Alerta Sísmica MX monitor running. The application connects to our server using your username and password, allowing you to: - Connect to all 125 sensors in real time, as displayed on the coverage map. - Receive visual and audible alerts for detected earthquakes or seismic alerts. - View P and S seismic waves. - See the estimated time until the seismic wave reaches your location (you can set this manually). Seismic monitoring in Mexico is made possible by the development of Alerta Sísmica MX, which uses sensors installed throughout Mexico, represented on this map as green dots. These sensors measure ground motion in real time. These sensors are able to determine if the event at each location is mild, moderate or strong, if the movement is similar in two or more stations they will notify an Earthquake Detected, if the movement is strong or violent they will launch a 'Seismic Alert' warning, from which we can see the propagation of seismic waves over the Mexican territory, represented with circles, the P Wave (yellow) and S Wave (red), frequently the S Wave is the one that brings the most intense movement of the earthquake; The monitor will show how much time is left for both waves to reach the user's location (For this transmission, Mexico City, the country's capital, is used as a reference point). The monitor also displays larger static points on the map; these are earthquakes reported by the National Seismological Service. The most recent one will always flash more prominently. This software, developed by Alerta Sísmica MX and the Institute of Geological and Atmospheric Research (IIGEA), is available for download on PC: https://iigea.org/download IIGEA A.C. official website: https://iigea.org
