RADINO - My Children's Radio offers an educational radio program for children aged two and up, and their families. The streaming app now makes the first and only nationwide children's radio station accessible throughout Austria and other German-speaking countries. Children's songs, radio plays, children's news, and leisure tips can be heard on FM in Vienna on 103.2 FM, throughout Austria on DAB+, via the free app, and live at www.meinkinderradio.at. The My Children's Radio app is probably the simplest app in the app store, designed to be easily accessible even for young children. Simply press the play button and the listening fun begins. About the program: Between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., a radio program specially tailored for children is broadcast, featuring a colorful mix of children's songs, short stories, audiobooks, and original children's radio news. The program is hosted by the cheeky little radio dinosaur RADINO, who is enthusiastically supported by his mother. From 8:00 PM onwards, there's a relaxation zone for parents – just the right program for mom and dad to really unwind. About the project: "Mein Kinderradio" (My Children's Radio) was created in 2011 as part of a project at Martin Luther University in Halle/Wittenberg, Germany. Four enthusiastic radio hosts and fathers have been working on this station with great dedication, passion, and a limited budget ever since. For several years now, they have been actively supported by three employed mothers. At this point, we (Peter, Andi, Franz, and Thomas) would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who initially provided their services free of charge or for a small stipend. Our Philosophy RADINO – My Children's Radio is the first private radio program to operate with a near-public service mandate, with the explicit goal of providing educational and valuable listening content for children. My Children's Radio voluntarily refrains from broadcasting traditional commercials and excessively long advertising breaks to avoid bombarding its young listeners with advertising. The project is financed by advertising partners who support the program through sponsorships or by offering children's tips, thus also using the program for advertising purposes in a subtle way. The creators of My Children's Radio are themselves parents and are very aware of the special responsibility that such a radio program for children entails.
