Before 1990, Moquegua barely had a channel, Panamericana TV's Channel 5. Through hard work, the people bought the equipment and built a repeater. Later, in 1992, the Moquegua Departmental Corporation, a state entity, managed a repeater for State Channel 7, which here in Moquegua was Channel 11. We finally had two channels, while Tacna had about eight channels: four national channels and the rest from the sister country of Chile. This difference bothered me personally because the people of Tacna treated us as undeveloped or as underdeveloped. Channel 11 only lasted two years because the budget allocated for its maintenance and others was exhausted and again we were left with only one Channel, it is for this reason that in mid-94 I traveled to Lima and requested permission from the management of channel 7 to reopen the operation of this Television Frequency, so in 95 with an investment of 15,000 dollars I bought the equipment such as the satellite dish, the transmitter and the receiver to be able to broadcast the signal and again Moquegua has its two signals, it is worth mentioning that the programming was first class since Moquegua was the only city nationwide that had DIRECT TV from Mexico of course this was another investment that consisted of 5,000.00 dollars, thank God at that time I had financial means and it was worth sharing them with my people from my blessed land called Moquegua, This lasted almost two years because in 96 I began to manage my own frequencies both Radio and Television before the MTC. And with great luck, I got the green light in '97. HOW WAS VISION PT. BORN? The answer is that I always dreamed of owning a radio or television station, and the circumstances happened, as I mentioned at the beginning. WHY VISION PT.? Because dreaming is a vision, and vision is seeing. Having achieved the results of my dream, I named my company VISION. Why PT.? One, my last name is Peñaloza and my first name is Teófilo, and the other, Moquegua is the city of eternal spring. Then we would have PRIMAVERA TELEVISION. Returning to our History, this Company began on January 7, 1997, and its operations began on September 23 of the same year, Spring Day. Over the days, months, and years, it has grown with our line of honesty, transparency, objectivity, and responsibility, as well as in equipment, coverage, and quality. All of this with the effort and help of my family, such as my children, my wife, and the staff who perform the different activities within the operation of both the Radio and Television. To finish telling you this story, first of all, I must thank God, who gave me everything: my family, my employees, my sponsors and institutions, and all of Moquegua, who always supports me with their tuning in.
