Comida na Mesa PBH

The "Comida na Mesa PBH" (Food on the Table PBH) program, established by Law No. 11.193/2019, guarantees access to a subsidy for food purchases through a card, as well as providing families with opportunities to participate in food cultivation, food and nutritional education, and training and qualification programs. The program is implemented in an integrated manner, between food and nutritional security policies and social assistance, through the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance, Food Security and Citizenship - SMASAC. It prioritizes families with children, adolescents, young people, elderly people, and people with disabilities, as well as those with women as heads of household. Therefore, the "Comida na Mesa PBH" program reflects the municipality's commitment to governing for those who need it most and fulfills the objective of contributing to access to adequate food and promoting food and nutritional security, especially for those who need it most.
