Clube Excelsior

Supermercado Excelsior is a food retail company in Pindamonhangaba, São Paulo. Its history began in 1968 and the opening of the first unit was a historic milestone in the city, as it was the first self-service market in the region. The self-service model was new in Brazil and came to replace the old warehouse system, which was characterized by slow service and no longer supported the new market demands. Excelsior's first address was on Rua Deputado Claro César, next to the Main Church, in a rented building of approximately 300 m² and had only three check-outs. Almost a decade after its opening, success and prosperity guided Excelsior Supermarket and soon its facilities became too small to accommodate the large number of customers. In 1983, the new headquarters was inaugurated, at its current address, which is larger and more modern, reaffirming its leadership in the city. Always seeking the best service and customer comfort. Two years later, a parking lot was added for better customer convenience. In 1988, it was necessary to invest in expanding the store, offering more space for the cold cuts and bakery departments. In 2003, another expansion was carried out, this time in the butcher shop, the bulk sector and the creation of a specific area for poultry. Today, Supermercado Excelsior has a sales area of ​​approximately 2,000 m² and a parking lot with capacity for 100 vehicles. The history of Excelsior Supermarket counts on the contribution of all employees. Those who collaborated for many years and have now retired and those who still work at Excelsior. Excelsior bases its relationships on respect and mutual trust.
