** Demo in testing phase ** Please be aware, the UI and Storyline are not yet complete. Vrakys is an RPG focused on character building with passive Japanese learning elements. My philosophy is that since the battle system is with you the entire game, it's one of the most important things to perfect in an RPG game. The turn based battle system revolves around symbol-crafting (aka drawing hiragana, katakana & kanji, ingress-hacking inspired) which gives not only a skill component to battles (instead of just pushing a button), but also a passive Japanese learning component. Instead of simply learning a fire spell and pressing a button to use it in battle, you learn the "火" ability (ひ : hi : fire) and in battle draw the 火 kanji to activate the spell. Accuracy & speed will determine the potency of the ability. Vrakys is text inspired game (lots of reading & writing required) and it's communication based exploration system (type commands to interact with the environment) also opens doors to passive Japanese learning through NPC interaction. Although optional, key words will give XP bonuses which you use to increase your abilities stats. Certain words will also create combo reactions to do increased damage and in some instances buff your party or debuff the enemy. This is working demo with more content being added over time, I'm looking for players that are willing to be pioneers in something different and will give feedback on how it plays. All IAPs are optional and not required to build a top-tier character. The subscription IAP will be utilized for server fees to support multi-player gaming. While in demo-testing and usage stays within the free-tier, the in-store shop which will be giving these out for no-cost. Codes for other IAPs will be given out upon request & through in-game interaction. If this doesn't sound appealing, then this game isn't for you at this point in it's development.
