Lycée Collège Planta

The High School of the Planta is a canton Valais institution issuing certificates Matura. Located north of the city of Zion, it currently hosts more than 1,000 students, mostly from the central Valais (100 teachers). This offer • 18 basic subjects (French, German, English, Italian, mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, economics and law, geography, history, philosophy, visual arts, music, physical education, religious education, computer, mature work) • 6 specific options (Latin, English, Italian, mathematics strong, visual arts, music) • 14 Additional options (applied mathematics, visual arts, biology, chemistry, physics, economics and law, religious education, geography, history, computer, music, philosophy, pedagogy, psychology, sport) • 3 different levels of mathematics. Students have the opportunity to attend a bilingual program (800h), which comes in immersion courses (German disciplines: geography, history, visual arts, additional options, work maturity) and language courses (in German institutions nature). Close cooperation are established with institutions Zurich, Winterthur and Trogen. Students receive "a balanced and coherent general training, which [their] confers maturity to undertake graduate studies and prepares them to take on responsibilities in society today.
