Common sense is a basic ability to perceive, understand, and judge things, which is shared by nearly all people and can reasonably be expected of nearly all people without any need for debate. Common sense is usually connected to universal truths. If you do not have regular social interaction, you might not learn what constitutes common sense and how to use it.
