The Equine Disease Communication Center (EDCC) is a horse industry-driven initiative which works to protect horses and the horse industry from the threat of infectious diseases in North America. The EDCC works to provide up-to-date, completely verified, and easily accessible information that is comprehensible to equestrians in every facet of the industry. Our communication system is designed to seek and report real-time information about diseases and help prevent the spread of infectious disease. Reports of confirmed infectious and vector-borne disease cases are received from veterinarians and health officials, then made into comprehensive alerts available online, through social media, and in the EDCC app. *The EDCC is not affiliated, regulated, or owned by any local, state, or federal government agency. The EDCC app does not represent any commercial or government entity. EDCC is not obligated to post or publish any of the submitted information which can be edited to ensure accuracy without permission.
