Aadu Puli Aatam , known globally as "Goats and Tigers," is not merely a pastime but a complex artifact of South Indian strategic history. Belonging to the "Hunt Game" family, it distinguishes itself from symmetric strategy games like Chess or Checkers through its inherent asymmetry. In symmetric games, opponents start with identical resources and objectives. In "Aadu Puli Aatam", the conflict is modelled on a predator-prey dynamic: a small, powerful force of three Tigers attempts to eliminate a large, defenceless, yet numerous force of fifteen Goats.
