An ELM 327 Bluetooth adapter is required for this application. Adapter must be purchased separately. Connecting to vehicle’s OBDII port, alOBD Smog PreCheck app will run a preliminary check of vehicle’s emissions system in order to assess its readiness for an official Smog Check. It will check OBD DTC, on-board monitor status, assess oxygen sensor performance and, for some vehicles, check select OBD2 Mode $06 parameter values to be in range. Upon completion, it will display result as PASS, FAIL or INCONCLUSIVE accompanied by a confidence percentage value. Original purchase will allow checking up to 5 vehicles any number of times. In-app purchase store will offer additional check slots, as well as unlimited checks. This app is designed to provide an assessment of a vehicle emission’s system prior to a mandated government emissions check.
