Pawn Run

The game is set on an endless, 4-cell-wide chessboard where the player controls a pawn, moving one cell forward each turn. Unlike traditional chess, the player can move diagonally at will. The goal is to capture as many enemy pieces as possible for points while avoiding capture. Each piece has a different score value. Player movement is automatic, but can be sped up with a double tap. Players must capture attacking pieces within a turn to avoid being captured, with no escape from certain attacks, such as those from knights.
