Apprendemos

APPrendemos is an innovative educational application designed for public primary school students. This digital tool reinforces the learning of Mathematics and Communication through a playful approach that maintains the interest and motivation of students. One of the most notable features of APPrendemos is its ability to operate without a permanent internet connection, which makes it suitable for educational environments with limited connectivity. The application has been developed by the Group for Analysis for Development (GRADE), with the support of the Inter-American Development Bank, Old Dart Foundation, Tinker Foundation and Underqubit. APPrendemos positions itself as an ally for teachers, providing them with pedagogical resources such as videos, curricular matrices, student reports and teaching recommendations through www.apprendemos.com. Registration for the program and student registration must be carried out by the classroom teacher on the aforementioned website. Pedagogical foundations Alignment with the National Curriculum APPrendemos has been designed considering the standards of the National Basic Education Curriculum of Peru. Each activity responds directly to the skills that students must develop. In Mathematics, APPrendemos addresses the 4 competencies of the Peruvian curriculum. In Communication, it focuses on the competence of understanding written texts, based on reading texts of various types, genres, formats and contexts. Competency approach This approach is manifested in the application through: 1. Situated learning: Activities in meaningful contexts that incorporate cultural, social and geographical elements. 2. Problem solving: Challenges that require applying knowledge and combining skills in a flexible and creative way. 3. Gradual progression: Activities with an increasing sequence of complexity to build solid learning. 4. Timely feedback: The app provides immediate feedback to students to strengthen their performances. 5. Self-assessment: Students monitor their progress, developing autonomy in their learning. Technical characteristics Operation without permanent connection The design of APPrendemos allows its use in environments with limited connectivity. The application:       •     Only requires internet for initial download and updates       •     Stores the necessary content locally       •     Saves student progress on device       •     Sync data when connection is detected       •     Optimizes resources to function on medium or low-range equipment Compatibility and technical requirements Developed with an inclusive approach in terms of accessibility:       •     Compatible with Android devices (version 5.0 or higher)       •     Works on educational tablets distributed by the Ministry of Education       •     Compatible with laptops or PCs       •     Requires a minimum of 1GB of RAM and 500MB of storage       •     Design adaptable to different screen sizes Security and data protection The application meets strict security and privacy standards:       •     Encryption of personal data       •     Compliance with national and international regulations       •     Differentiated permissions for students, teachers and administrators       •     Does not collect unnecessary information or share it with third parties       •     Information backup and recovery protocols
