MadeiraOcean app (in experimental phase) was created with the purpose of displaying graphically the results of COAWST (Coupled Ocean Atmospheric Wave Sediment Transport) model, implemented by the Oceanic Observatory of Madeira for Madeira Archipelago. Although the model is regularly validated, it is difficult to guarantee the accuracy of the presented data, as forecasts are predictions and should be considered as such. In this app you can check the forecasted data for air and water temperature, direction and speed of currents, waves and tides, plus precipitation, winds and atmospheric pressure. All these variables are available for more than 30 points around the island, with forecasts for every three hours. Additionally, the satellite data presented in this app come from the Copernicus Marine Service (https://resources.marine.copernicus.eu/).
