LibertyLens

LibertyLens is a data-sovereign video recorder built to keep your footage under your control. Record on your phone or continuously stream protected video to a computer you personally pair and control. Paired-computer streaming is a core LibertyLens function for users who want their live evidence preserved on their own hardware instead of a company-operated recording cloud. RECORD ON YOUR DEVICE Capture video and microphone audio locally. Review recordings inside the app and export them only when you choose. STREAM TO YOUR OWN COMPUTER Pair LibertyLens on Android with the LibertyLens desktop relay on macOS or Windows. Your phone can continuously send protected video to that personally paired computer, where recordings are saved in short, recoverable segments. PRIVATE CROSS-NETWORK CONNECTION ON ANDROID When the phone and paired computer cannot reach each other directly, LibertyLens uses Android's VpnService and WireGuard to create the encrypted remote-access path required for paired-computer streaming across different networks. The tunnel is restricted to the LibertyLens app and the paired computer's single private /32 address. It installs no default route, provides no general internet VPN access, and carries neither ordinary internet traffic nor traffic from other apps. Before setup, LibertyLens shows a separate in-app disclosure explaining why VpnService is needed and what tunnel data is used. The user can decline and continue with direct same-network pairing. If accepted, Android then displays its own VPN permission prompt. Tunnel setup sends a one-time enrollment identifier, a per-pairing WireGuard public key, and the source IP needed for security and abuse prevention to the Aris Party tunnel broker. Private keys stay on the user's devices, and active enrollments expire after no more than seven days. LibertyLens does not inspect, sell, use for advertising, or share browsing activity, DNS queries, or VPN traffic content. OPTIONAL SIGN-IN Use LibertyLens without an account, or sign in with Google, Apple, or email. QR pairing remains available. Pairing credentials are kept in platform secure storage. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Recordings remain on your device or personally paired computer unless you explicitly export or share them. Optional PIN and biometric controls help protect recording controls while the app is active. FREE AND PRO The free edition includes core recording and paired-computer streaming with a sponsor banner.
