The Yoga Shala

The Yoga Shala is a yoga academy dedicated to Ashtanga Yoga / Mysore practice. It creates a cohesion and communication space for students who like Ashtanga Yoga, so that orthodox yoga practice and teaching can be passed on forever. Shala means school in Sanskrit, which is what we call the classroom when we practice in Mysore, India. We hope that The Yoga Shala will inherit Ashtanga Yoga as faithfully as teacher Sharath's classroom in India. We also hope that students who are interested in practicing Mysore will study with us with a serious and knowledge-seeking attitude.
