The Argentine Council of Ophthalmology is the institution that represents ophthalmologists in the country. It was founded on May 19, 1962 in the city of Rosario, Argentina. Its main objectives are the protection of the interests of ophthalmologists, the promotion of the professional training of colleagues and the defense of the visual health of the population. The entity has been affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) since March 27, 2013. Its headquarters are located at Tte. Gral. Perón 1479, ground floor, city of Buenos Aires.
