Hilal Snap - Moon Sighting

Hilal Snap is an advanced astronomical instrument application specifically designed for the moon sighting (Hilal) community, combining extreme scientific precision with intuitive usability. Whether you are a professional observer or an enthusiast, Hilal Snap provides the tools you need to locate the crescent moon with stunning accuracy. Key Features: 1. NASA JPL DE440 High-Precision Engine: The application relies on the latest NASA standards (JPL DE440) for calculating the positions of celestial bodies, ensuring accuracy that matches leading international and national standards. 2. Augmented Reality (AR) Guiding: No more confusion in the field. AR technology uses your phone's camera to guide you precisely to the Moon's position in the sky, even if it is not yet visible to the naked eye. 3. World Visibility Criteria: The application supports multiple moon sighting criteria, including: - New MABIMS criteria (Altitude ≥ 3° and Elongation ≥ 6.4°). - Moh. Odeh's criteria. - Istanbul (Turkey) 1978 criteria. - Wujudul Hilal criteria. 4. Observation Documentation (Telemetry): Capture photos of your observation with a full overlay of astronomical data (Azimuth, Altitude, Time, Coordinates) as physical and scientific evidence of the sighting. 5. Extensive Geographic Database: Full support for major cities with the ability to use GPS or manual coordinate input to ensure calculations are based on your exact location. 6. Premium User Interface: Modern design with Dark Mode support for eye comfort during night observations, featuring a smooth and seamless interface. Why Hilal Snap? This application was developed to be the bridge between complex astronomical calculations and practical field application. It is the ideal tool for religious institutions, astronomical societies, and anyone interested in starting Hijri months based on solid scientific foundations.
