The E88 Drone Offers an Impressive Blend of Compact Design and Versatile Camera

With arms folded, the dimensions of the aircraft are 12.5×8.1×5.3cm, and the weight is a mere 104 grams (including the loaded battery). The E88 Pro adheres to the well-known DJI Mavic design. Instead of obstacle avoidance sensors in the front, it features two LED lights aiding in orientation for nocturnal flights. Additionally, there's a second LED positioned at the rear of the drone. The frontal camera is mounted on a simulated gimbal, lacking stabilization and the capability for remote angle adjustment. I received the 'Pro' variant, equipped with a second camera on the fuselage's underside. The camera module can be detached or replaced if necessary. The E88 offers three camera choices. The E88 Pro, featuring a dual-camera system (4K primary + VGA bottom), is available for $39.99 from RCGoring, while the basic E88, equipped with a 720P camera, is priced at $33.99. All three versions come in black or grey and can be paired with 1, 2, or 3 flight batteries. Much like the drone, its controller exhibits a playful appearance. I even discovered an inadvertently left bolt inside. Fortunately, I identified the issue before inserting the three AA batteries and powering it on. The transmitter includes two faux foldable antennas and a retractable phone holder. The E88 drone is powered by a single-cell (3.7V) 1800mAh modular battery. Judging by the size of the LIPO cell, the actual battery capacity is estimated to be between 800-1200mAh. The battery pack incorporates a micro USB port for charging, along with a status indicator LED. It is ready-to-fly straight out of the box. Simply unfold the arms and power it on. Take-off can be initiated automatically through the designated button or manually using the throttle stick. Arming the motors is achieved by moving both sticks to the outer-down position.
