UCANE Connect

Founded in 1954, the Utility Contractors’ Association of New England, Inc. (UCANE) represents more than 250 leading utility contractors and industry professionals across Massachusetts and throughout New England. Our members specialize in underground utility construction, including water, sewer, electrical, gas, and fiber optics infrastructure. UCANE’s diverse membership includes union and non-union companies of all sizes—from small, family-owned businesses to large corporations. They serve state agencies such as the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) and the Boston Water & Sewer Commission (BWSC), as well as all 351 cities and towns in Massachusetts. Beyond pipeline installation, members also build pump and metering stations, treatment plants, storage tanks, and underground vaults.
