The Reina-Valera, also called the Casiodoro de Reina Bible or the Bear Bible, is one of the first translations of the Bible into Spanish. The work was made from the translation of the original Hebrew and Greek texts and was published in Basel, Switzerland, on September 28, 1569. Its translator was Casiodoro de Reina, a Spanish religious converted to Protestantism.
