Handbook of Rocks is a free android application with the complete list of all rock types. Nearly all rocks can be classified according to their origin into three major groups. These divisions include igneous rocks, sedimentary rocks, and metamorphic rocks. A few rocks are hybrid in nature. As the science of rocks (petrology) developed, many rock names were introduced into the scientific literature.
