Scheduled Sludge Service (LAMPU JAVA) Definition Scheduled Sludge Service (LAMPU JAVA) is a system for managing sludge from septic tanks that is carried out periodically and on a schedule. Its purpose is to maintain environmental health, improve sanitation, and prevent groundwater pollution. ________________________________________ Objectives of LLTT 1. Improve environmental quality by preventing pollution from leaking or overflowing septic tanks. 2. Ensure safe and sustainable sludge management. 3. Provide equitable and equitable services to all communities, especially in urban areas. 4. Reduce the risk of diseases caused by poor sanitation, such as diarrhea, cholera, and typhus. 5. Support the achievement of the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) targets, particularly the pillar of proper and safe sanitation. ________________________________________ LLTT Service Components 1. Data Collection and Scheduling o Every household or building with a septic tank is recorded. o De-sludge is scheduled periodically (usually every 3–5 years). o Consumers are regularly informed about the implementation schedule. 2. Service Operations o Fecal sludge is transported using a sludge/vacuum truck. o Services are performed by authorized operators (PDAM, UPTD, or designated private providers). o Staff are trained and equipped with safety equipment. 3. Fecal Sludge Treatment o Fecal sludge is transported to a Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant (IPLT) for safe processing. o Processing can produce compost, biogas energy, or simply environmentally friendly final disposal. 4. Financing and Tariffs o Fecal sludge treatment (LLTT) fees are determined by the local government and are usually cheaper than on-call desludging services. o Financing can be a monthly subscription or an annual fee. 5.
