AstroWatch

Discover the fascinating connection between time and the cosmos with Astro Watch. This app brings the aesthetics and precision of classic astronomical clocks directly to your smartphone. Inspired by history Astro Watch was inspired by the world-famous astronomical clock in Prague (Staroměstský orloj). Like its historical counterpart, the app visualizes the complex movements of celestial bodies and offers a unique graphical representation of time in harmony with the universe. Earth in real-time 3D One highlight of the app is the stunning 3D view of Earth. Based on your local position, the app shows you exactly where you are on the globe. Experience live how sunlight illuminates our planet, and observe the seamless transition from day to night through the physically accurate light simulation of the sun. Your window to the stars Explore the universe with various specialized views: • Telescope & Horizon Mode: View the current night sky exactly as it appears above you. • Orientation aid: Display the names of stars, planets, and constellations (optionally in English, Latin, or as abbreviations) as well as astronomical coordinate grids. • Interactive control: Use your device's built-in compass to intuitively explore the sky. Extensive astronomical data: • Precise times for sunrise, sunset, and the daily peak position (culmination). • Current moon phase at a glance. • Calculation of the exact altitude of celestial bodies above the horizon. • Simulation: Jump into the future or past (minutes, hours, days, years) to plan constellations in advance.
