Wind2Ride: Bike Route Planner

See the wind before you ride. Wind2Ride is a cycling route planner that shows headwind, tailwind and crosswind along every segment of your route — so you can ride with the wind, not against it. WHY WIND MATTERS On long, flat rides — coasts, plains, steppes — wind decides whether your ride is a flow state or a fight. A 5 m/s headwind can add an hour to a 100 km route. Wind2Ride forecasts the wind on every segment, scores the whole route, and lets you pick the day, time and direction with the best wind for your ride. PLAN BY THE WIND - Color-coded route map: green = tailwind, red = headwind, for every segment - Wind index and speed impact — see the minutes the wind gives or costs you - 7-day hourly wind & weather forecast — pick the best day and time to ride - Pre-ride alert one hour before your ride — weather summary and what to wear - Reverse the route to instantly check the wind in the opposite direction BUILD ANY ROUTE - Road, gravel and MTB routing — including dirt and field paths off-road - Add waypoints and plan distances up to 600 km — perfect for brevets, audax and bikepacking - Import from Strava or a GPX file, and export your route as GPX for Garmin and Wahoo cycling computers SHARE & RIDE TOGETHER - Share a route by link, GPX, text or map screenshot - See who else is planning your route and when — and join them - Organize a group ride and see who's coming, without endless chat messages - Get a reminder when someone rides your route, so you never miss a chance to ride with your club PERFECT FOR - Road cyclists planning weekend rides with their club - Randonneurs and brevet riders crossing open, windy terrain - Gravel and bikepacking riders on long mixed-surface routes - Commuters who want to know if today is a tailwind day Plan the wind.
