Instituto Hesed

After the foundation on November 30, 1997, in January 1998, Sister Kelly Patrícia and Sister Jane Madeleine made the first retreat where they were inspired by the name “HESED”. Then D. Cláudio Hummes takes office as Archbishop of Fortaleza and receives them in audience, blesses them and authorizes them to receive vocations. On the 25th of March 1999, at 6 pm (the day of the Incarnation of the Word and traditionally at the same time), the VERB arrives, the center of everything, Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, remaining with us until today: it is the first miracle. At the time, as the Archdiocese was without a bishop, the parish priest ordered us to stay with JESUS, until the official permission of the new bishop was issued. Then our dear D. José Antônio arrives, who grants us an audience, blesses us and, in due course, grants us, in writing, permission for the conservation of the Sacred Reserves.
