The INSIGHT Connect mobile app will add mobility and further enhance the simplicity and flexibility of Ingersoll Rand QX Series™ cordless assembly tools. Manufacturers in the motor vehicle, heavy truck and bus, appliance, heavy equipment, aerospace and other manufacturing industries rely on Ingersoll Rand QX Series tools to control torque, angle and speed in a myriad of fastening applications. Now, with the INSIGHT Connect app, technicians can stay productive, and mobile, on the plant floor without the need for additional technical training, special software, plant network permissions or a laptop computer. Working from a smartphone or tablet, operators can use the app to quickly program the torque and angle control configurations on these closed-loop, transducerized tools. Once installed, the INSIGHT Connect app can operate offline, so it can function in large facilities where internet-signal loss may be a problem, mitigating downtime in manufacturing settings where productivity and time savings are essential.
