The Journalist is an app designed to empower reporters and journalists to file stories instantly from the field. Whether capturing breaking news, recording interviews or sharing supporting media, this app streamlines the reporting workflow with an easy-to-use interface. Key Features: Record Video on the Go – Capture and upload videos with headlines and descriptions in real time. Capture Photos – Take photos directly from the app and submit them with headlines and descriptions in real time. Upload from Gallery – Attach photos, videos, audio or documents from your device’s storage. Save Drafts – Store unfinished stories and submit them later. Sent Stories – View and track submitted stories. Advanced Search – Easily find drafts and sent stories using filters. This app is for internal use only by the employees of T. V. Today Network Ltd. Core Purpose: The app enables journalists and field staff to capture and upload files (photos, videos, documents) directly from the phone storage to the internal CMS system. Required Permissions: All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): This is required to allow employees to select and upload files from shared storage such as Downloads, DCIM, and other folders, which are used for media capture and editing. This permission is essential to ensure real-time reporting, especially when journalists are on the move. This app is not intended for public distribution.
