Haname

Inspired by visual poetry and logic games, Haname is a combination puzzle that challenges the player to discover, amid a rain of symbols, the rules that govern the combination system between three types of elements. The player must deduce the internal logic and react quickly to score points and level up, in an environment with minimalist aesthetics and an increasing pace. Mixing logical challenge and agility, the game offers an experience that exercises multi-focus and analytical reasoning. Haname’s dynamics dialogue with classics of the genre, games that explore logic, reaction time, and the construction of visual patterns. However, Haname sets itself apart by proposing an innovative discovery and combination mechanics in which the player must infer the correct mixes between symbols and adapt to the game’s constant changes to generate flowers with an ever-increasing number of petals while avoiding various obstacles. The development of the Haname prototype took place within the scope of the cultural project Gogoame 2.0 – Chuva de Texto, supported by the BH Nas Telas 2023 grant and the Municipality of Belo Horizonte, and with the support of GRAFO – Graphic Arts Laboratory of the School of Fine Arts at UFMG.
