ABOUT THE PROJECT This app is part of Offline.Bible — a small effort to make Bible translations available wherever people go, especially where internet doesn't. The Bible in Basic English (BBE) was produced by Samuel Henry Hooke and a small team of scholars and first published in 1949. It uses a vocabulary of around 850 simple, common English words, making the Bible especially accessible to non-native English speakers and readers with limited reading vocabulary. Public domain.
