Kerala Arts And Lovers Association Kuwait
Founded in 1978 by a group of forward-thinking Malayalees, the Kerala Art Lovers Association (KALA Kuwait) is a well-known socio-cultural and secular organization among Indians in Kuwait. KALA undertakes a wide range of activities, from charity initiatives to promoting art and culture within the Keralite community in Kuwait. The organization has been at the forefront of responding to developments in the homeland and regularly organizes discussions and debates on educational and social issues. In 1990, KALA introduced the Free Mathrubhasha Education Program, through which the name “KALA” became closely associated with “Mathrubhasha.” In 2000, KALA expanded its social and charitable work to Kerala by establishing KALA Trust in Thiruvananthapuram. Today, KALA has around 65 units across Kuwait with thousands of active members. The organization welcomes all progressive-minded individuals, regardless of religion, caste, creed, or political affiliation.
