Records eye movements during vertigo using the front camera.
This app allows users to record their eye movements (nystagmus) using the front camera during episodes of vertigo. Eye movements may not always be present during a medical examination, even in people with vertigo. This app enables users to capture their eye movements at the moment symptoms occur. To record, lie on your back and place the smartphone in front of your eyes. Record while looking straight up for 10–30 seconds, then to the right for 10–30 seconds, and to the left for 10–30 seconds. The app also uses the smartphone’s built-in motion sensors to record head position during recording. The recorded videos may be useful when consulting a healthcare professional specializing in vertigo.
