MEDWIN QREADER

MEDWIN QREADER was developed at the request of healthcare professionals to help them prevent the falsification and diversion of prescriptions for criminal purposes, and to combat the trafficking of psychotropic medications and narcotics. MEDWIN QREADER is an application specially dedicated to reading QR Codes displayed on secure prescriptions, generated by doctors using MEDWIN medical practice management software. It allows health professionals, especially pharmacists, to authenticate and verify the traceability of these prescriptions, and thus fight against the diversion and falsification of prescriptions. In practice, these prescriptions are secure at three levels: -The 1st level: by the QR code itself [checks the content of the prescription] -The 2nd level: by the encryption of the QR code during its generation by MEDWIN, thus, it will only be decrypted by MEDWIN QREADER which contains the decryption key [fraud by generation of false QR Codes]. -The 3rd level: by the unique identifier “IU”, which allows the prescription to be authenticated during its 1st scan, the transmission of this UI to our servers allows during a 2nd scan to alert the pharmacist, and to provide him with the contact details of the colleague who has already scanned the prescription before, and thus avoid double issuance [fraud by photocopy and multiple issuances of an authentic secure prescription].
