Both Cooper and Oboler were imaginative and prolific writers. As a result, Lights Out became a popular and well written radio program for years. Lights Out was cancelled in 1939, but only for a while. Arch Oboler revived the program in 1942 . That revival ended in 1943. In the summer of 1947, Lights Out was again revived for the final time.
