IMPORTANT — StreetSense is NOT a government app. It is an independent reference tool published by MNS Industries, LLC. It is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or representing any federal, state, or local government, agency, court, or law-enforcement body. StreetSense puts patrol law in your pocket: statutes with officer notes, plain-English case law, and interactive Call Simulations across 51 states. Built by a working police officer. All legal content is a reference summary derived from the official public government sources described below. StreetSense does not provide legal advice; laws change — always confirm current law and your agency’s policy through official channels before acting. SOURCES — official government publications State statutes and codes are reproduced from each state’s official legislature or code-revisor website — for example California (leginfo.legislature.ca.gov), Texas (statutes.capitol.texas.gov), and Ohio (codes.ohio.gov). The U.S. Library of Congress maintains a directory of every state’s official legal source at loc.gov/law/help/guide/states.php. Court opinions and federal materials are drawn from the U.S. Courts (uscourts.gov) and the U.S. Government Publishing Office (govinfo.gov), together with published state-court decisions and the public-domain legal databases CourtListener (by the Free Law Project) and Justia. WHAT’S INSIDE • Patrol statutes with charge grades, elements, penalties, and officer notes • Case law in plain English — what the court held and what it means on the street • Controlling U.S. Supreme Court cases framed for how each state applies them • Interactive Call Simulations for common calls (Full Kit states) • Quick reference cards with tap-through Case Coach links • Search by plain words, aliases, or citation in any format • Field cards: Miranda, FST, phonetic alphabet • Free counterfeit temp-tag scanner • 100% offline — no signal or login required StreetSense is a reference tool, not legal advice, and does not replace your agency’s policy, your training, or the advice of counsel.
