LOCATION & PERMISSIONS CommuGuard uses precise location for incident reports, the live map, the SOS cascade and GPS patrols. Background location is requested only when a patrol is actively running, so the route keeps recording when the screen locks. Photos are optional — only used when you attach evidence to a report.
