"Etkalem Arabi" application that teaches Arabic language to Egyptian and Arab
As part of the "Speak Arabic - Etkalem Arabi" initiative launched by the Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs with the aim of preserving the national identity and Arabic language culture among Arab children living abroad, Nahdet Misr Publishing House has developed " Etkalem Arabi" application to present the Arabic language to children in an easy and interesting way. The application introduces the frequently used Arabic words, Arabic letters, and the combination of these letters to form words and sentences through fun interactive activities for children, which all the family members can share together, as well as a variety of stories and songs that introduce children to themselves and their motherland, using artificial intelligence and games. The application is designed by a group of experts in Arabic language and education. Application Sections: The application is presented in three stages, the first stage begins with: 1- Letters: Teaching Arabic letters to children, by watching a video that clarifies how the letter is written as a standalone, in the beginning, middle and at the end of the word. A variety of printable worksheets are available. 2- Words: The application provides more than 500 frequently used words in the Arabic language, supported by correct pronunciation of each word, and many diverse interactive activities, to help children express themselves in confidence. 3- Stories: A group of diverse animated stories in various places in Egypt. Stories are in simple sentences and structures, followed by a set of interactive activities and worksheets. 4- Songs: A set of entertaining video songs in age friendly rhythms that help children recall the words and phrases, and use them in daily life. Each song is followed by a set of interactive activities and worksheets. Application Features: 1- An interactive application that develops the Arabic language skills of children and introduces them to the Egyptian identity and culture. 2- It enables children to know their level of progress and provides them with rewards and points for every activity they pass. 3- It seeks to strengthen the bonds of the family through activities in which family members can interact together. 4- The stories and songs include the frequently used words in the language and are appropriate for the age group. 5- It works according to an educational methodology that enhances the long-term retention of the language and enables children to employ it in different situations.
