Sifat al-Safwa is a book on the Prophet's biography, biographies, and classes. The book explores biographies, stories of lessons, and sermons that occurred with the pious and pure Companions and those who came after them. Ibn al-Jawzi begins the book with a summary of the biography of the Messenger of God, his morals, noble qualities, and praiseworthy characteristics. He then mentions some of the great Companions, such as the Ten Promised Paradise and others, then the worshippers, the pious, and the righteous. He mentions their names and some of their deeds and morals, which are emulated and guided by their light, such as lessons, lessons, and following their path. Those mentioned by Ibn al-Jawzi in his book include: 1030 scholars. Ibn al-Jawzi arranged it according to the following order: He mentions a chapter on the saints and righteous people, followed by a mention of our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, explaining his circumstances, manners, and related matters. He then mentions those among his Companions who were famous for their knowledge coupled with asceticism and devotion. He then discusses their ranks in terms of merit. He then mentions the chosen female Companions according to this principle, followed by the Successors and those who came after them according to their ranks in their countries. Ibn al-Jawzi then explored his thoughts east and west, extracting everyone who could be mentioned in this book from all corners of the globe. He listed the people of each town and arranged them according to their ranks, starting with the males whose names he knew, then mentioning those whose names he did not know. When he finished mentioning the female worshippers of that country according to this principle, he would mention them. Perhaps there were sane or insane men and women among the people of that country who could be mentioned, and he would mention them. He then mentions some of the worshippers whose names and locations are unknown, and mentions some stories of young girls who spoke the language of great worshippers. He then includes some stories of the worshippers of the jinn, with which he concludes this book, which is authenticated in two parts. It transports you from a world filled with cruelty, where you may feel lonely, to another world, or rather, to other worlds via a time machine, where you get close to, get to know, become attached to, and love a group of the best people to have walked this planet. I can honestly say that while reading this book, I was a better person, and later I discovered that it was the influence of the company that surrounded me during my journey with the book. Ibn al-Jawzi, in his distinctive style, takes us to some of the stories of the righteous predecessors so that we may learn lessons and admonitions. Gamal Soliman - A very beautiful book by Ibn al-Jawzi, may Allah have mercy on him, in which he brings together many stories of the righteous, saints, and righteous predecessors. When you read them, you can't help but feel contempt for yourself and what you have offered. May Allah have mercy on our righteous predecessors and grant us the ability to be like them. Abdulrahman Alammari ❇️ Some quotes from the book Sifat al-Safwa by Ibn al-Jawzi ❇️ "When Amr ibn Qays was dying, Al-Mala'i wept, and his companions said, "Why are you crying about this world? By God, you hated living during your lifetime." He replied, "By God, I am not crying about this world. I am only crying out of fear that I will be deprived of the Hereafter." "Dawud al-Ta'i worked hard and strove when his mother died. He divided up everything she had left behind until it all stuck to the ground. She was wealthy." "On the authority of Ahmad ibn Dawud al-Harrani, who said: Mus'ab ibn al-Miqdam said: I saw the Prophet in a dream, and Sufyan al-Thawri was holding his hand, and they were circumambulating. Al-Thawri said: 'O Messenger of God, has Mus'ar ibn Kadam died?' He said: 'Yes.' And the inhabitants of heaven rejoiced at his death." "Dawud said: 'The ascetic is he who has the means and then gives up.'" Al-Walid ibn Uqbah said: "A neighbor of his told me that I could hear him reproaching himself and saying: 'Last night I desired dates, so I fed you. And tonight I desired dates.' May Dawud never taste dates as long as he was in this world." ― The Book of the Description of the Elite, Ibn al-Jawzi We welcome your suggestions and communication with us. noursal.apps@gmail.com www.Noursal.com
