Visualize a 468-point 3D face mesh and export local asymmetry estimates.

Dynamic 3D Face Asymmetry uses a supported Android phone’s front camera and Google Play Services for AR (ARCore) to display a live 468-point facial wireframe and calculate geometric surface-asymmetry estimates on the device. MAIN FUNCTIONS • Live ARCore augmented-face tracking with all 468 landmark IDs. • Complete facial wireframe and exact bilateral landmark pairing. • PCA-derived sagittal, frontal, and transverse reference planes. • B/R/G selection for left-right, up-down, and in-out comparison. • Adjustable sensitivity from 0.1 mm to 100 mm. • Dominant-side, global asymmetry index, average-left, average-right, and maximum bilateral-difference outputs. • Optional planes, landmark IDs or colored points, and Max/Min side coloring. • Freeze/unfreeze for review of a stable frame. • User-controlled PNG screen capture, ASCII STL, Wavefront OBJ, and detailed TXT report export. App take advantage of trueDepth front camera and take surface scans of subjects’ faces continuously. TrueDepth camera provides depth data in real time allowing stereo photogrammetry imaging. A wireframe texture of grid lines appears over user’s face matching the size, shape, topology of the user's face in real time. Topographical landmarks of face (ID number) points are automatically and continuously captured over face surface. The distances and differences of points to sagittal plane from right and to left side are calculated for each unique pair of anthropometric topographical landmarks of face. Mean difference of distances of anthropometric landmarks points toward one side right or left are depicted over face’s side with colour respectively, namely differences less than 1 mm in green colour (symmetric), between 1 to 2 mm in yellow colour and over 2 mm, points are depicted in red colour (asymmetric). App offers : -dynamic measurements in real time of face symmetry. Coloured anthropometric topographical landmarks over 3D face’s wire frame give information continuously about the degree and the direction of asymmetry left or right respectively helping to identify easily the affected region of face. -quantitative assessment of face asymmetry allows to assess the severity of the side and region of asymmetry and place it within or outside the range of normative. Asymmetry index AI , face dominance left or right, average distances from the left side in mm (AvgL), average distances from the right side in mm (AvgR) and maximum distances difference from symmetric nodes of the two sides are being calculated (MaxDiff). -powerful export features -files exported in stl, or scn file format and raw data as txt format, which can be used for further research and validation in various scientific fields like neurology, plastic surgery, paediatrics, maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, dentistry, aesthetics, beauty analysis, sculpture, archeology, psychiatry etch. where time-consuming and or even limited direct measurement (direct anthropometry) to quantitate facial features is needed. -clinical assessment of facial asymmetric features could be done rapidly, in non-expensive way allowing early detection of an ongoing process in noninvasive manner, where simple inspection by naked eye can’t. In addition does not expose subject to radiation, thus allowing objective comparison. Diagnostic capability could be increased through a quantitative analysis of morphometric face measurements.Future validation is pending.
