Choghadiya

Choghadiya is a Sanskrit word made of two words "Cho" and "Ghadiya" where "Cho" means four and "Ghadiya" means time in Hindi. In Vedic astrology, Choghadiya is a muhurat or shubh (auspicious) or ashubh (inauspicious) time to start new work. A day has 24 hours and 16 Choghadiya's, the day is divided into two parts daytime and nighttime, each daytime and nighttime contains 8 Choghadiya's. In Vedic astrology, a day starts with sunrise and end with next day sunrise. So, sunrise to sunset is daytime and sunset to next day sunrise nighttime.
