Comunica Baby is an application aimed at speech therapists and aims to assess cognitive development and expressive language in babies and young children. This application, designed by speech therapists Fabíola Custódio Flabiano Almeida, Karina Bernardis Bühler and Suelly Cecilia Olivan Limongi, and developed by Pró-Fono, provides the speech therapist with the possibility of objectively analyzing the outstanding characteristics of cognitive and language development presented by the patient, providing scores and parameters for greater control and precision in assessment procedures, diagnosis and systematic follow-up of the speech therapy therapeutic process. The application is easy to understand and apply to the speech therapist, and provides a detailed and complete analysis of child development. Comunica Baby allows carrying out two complementary types of analysis: Macro Analysis (that is, verification of the presence or absence of a certain development indicator at the time of observation, which allows locating the child in his process of cognitive development and expressive language) and Micro Analysis (that is, verification of the diversity of accomplishments and productions presented by the child that makes it possible to characterize him in terms of the quality of his development). In a practical and uncomplicated way, the speech therapist can watch the video with the recording of the application of the child assessment directly in the Comunica Baby application while performing the analysis. The application then automatically calculates the test scores and provides an approximation of the patient's location within the expected developmental parameters for each age group. Purpose: The application can be used both to track the child's cognitive and expressive language development in relation to the early stages (for example, to observe the child's performance in a one-off assessment) and to follow the child's development longitudinally, or that is, at different times throughout their process of cognitive construction and expressive language, during the sensorimotor period and the beginning of the preoperative period. This app is designed for use on larger screens (interface designed for tablets running Android 6.0 or higher)
