He is an Associate Professor at Umm Al-Qura University in Mecca, in the Faculty of Da'wah and Fundamentals of Religion, Department of the Quran and Sunnah, and was appointed Head of the Department of Recitations at the Faculty. Reciter Abdul Wadud Hanif served as Imam of the Princess Shaheeda Mosque and the Ibrahim Bakhsh Mosque in Mecca. He memorized the Quran in elementary school and graduated from Dar Al-Arqam in the Holy Mosque in Mecca. He holds a license in the recitation of Asim according to the narrations of Hafs and Shu'bah, and in Tajweed.
