Al-Kari’a (Arabic: القارعة - Crushing Misfortune) is the hundred and first surah of the Qur'an. Meccan Sura. Consists of 11 verses. The surah begins with the intimidation of a crushing misfortune (al-karia - القارعة), which will loudly and severely hit people's ears and stun them. Then, the Surah speaks of some of the events that will happen on Sunday with people and mountains. In it, special attention is paid to the story of people whose bowl of good deeds falls down, and about people whose bowl of scales will be lighter.
