Oakville Transit operates small capacity fully accessible transit vehicles providing specialized transit service currently branded as care-A-van and a commingled on- demand service branded Ride On-Demand. Standard Oakville Transit fares apply for both services. care-A-van (specialized transit) is an application-based door-to-door transportation service for persons with a disability that prevents them from using fixed route transit. This service is provided using fully accessible Oakville Transit small capacity vehicles and supplemented in partnership with local taxi providers. Standard Oakville Transit fares apply. Ride On-Demand is a shared-ride service booked via a mobile app that allows riders to travel without following a fixed route or schedule. Customers can travel from one address to another within the designated zone and connect to and from fixed route service at designated transit hubs in the same zone. Minimum trip distance of 400 metres is required per booking. This service is provided using fully accessible Oakville Transit small capacity vehicles. Standard Oakville Transit fares apply.
