Destino Bajo Nalón

Destino Bajo Nalón is the official tourism app of the Cinco Villas Association of Municipalities, on the central coast of Asturias. It's a guide to discovering and exploring a region with a history spanning millennia, comprised of the municipalities of Pravia, Soto del Barco, and Muros de Nalón, all clustered around the mouth of the Nalón River where it meets the Cantabrian Sea. Nestled between the mountains, the estuary, and the coastline, Bajo Nalón combines nature, heritage, and maritime tradition in a manageable and nuanced territory. The app brings together all the information you need to plan your visit and experience the region at your own pace, whether you have a day or want to explore it in depth. It offers the following features: Interactive map. Locate beaches, churches, viewpoints, villages, and industrial heritage sites. Filter points of interest by theme and see which ones are near your location. Routes and trails. Follow marked trails with GPS navigation, such as the Miradores Trail along the cliffs or the routes through the Indiano heritage of Somao, with detailed information at each stop. The region is also a stop on the Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James). Heritage and history. Explore the 8th-century pre-Romanesque church of Santianes, linked to the origins of the Kingdom of Asturias; the coal port of San Esteban de Pravia, a testament to the region's industrial past; the villages with their Indiano heritage; and the fishing village of San Juan de la Arena.
