Information to citizens and professionals about Neonatal Screening Program Endocrine and Metabolic Diseases of the Ministry of Health of the Government of Andalusia. Initiative promoted by the Andalusian Plan of Care for people affected by rare diseases. This test, also known as "heel prick test" allows early detection of certain congenital diseases in newborns. This application aims to inform the family about the purpose of the heel prick test in newborns, their method of realization, the major diseases detected, as well as how to get the test results. Professionals can access updated information on the procedure and technical information. Project financed by funds strategies 2015 the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality approved in the CISMS as of January 14, 2015 to support the implementation of the strategy for rare diseases.
