EMMA is a mobile application offering with many features. It is a suite of integrated software applications that connects groups of people during events to allow improved communication and access to information during any suspect or real-time critical emergency event. The information accessible is user status, geo-location information and mapping, imminent threat updates by users and administrators, event progress, continual user updates (if any), responder equipment or AED location information and mapping for easy access & improved response times, administrator or security instructions for emergency shelter-in-place/lockdown/evacuation, color-coded quick reference phone directories broken down by last known user status, logging of event information, logging of responder activity and results, event drills and practice session documentation, security system logging and security personnel management, event communication and control during national incident management situations (NIMS), and closed loop communication management using up-to-date push notification technology.
