English training for Spanish-speaking CDL drivers to pass DOT inspections.
TruckTalk prepares Spanish-speaking CDL truck drivers to communicate in English during DOT roadside inspections. Since June 2025, FMCSA has been enforcing English Language Proficiency requirements under 49 CFR ยง391.11(b)(2). Over 18,000 violations have been issued and more than 14,000 drivers have been placed out-of-service. TruckTalk was built to help drivers prepare before their next inspection. The app includes 15 training modules that follow the structure of a real DOT inspection. You'll practice greetings, presenting documents, explaining your credentials and endorsements, discussing hours of service, describing your route and cargo, walking through a vehicle inspection, and handling problems on the road. There's also dedicated training for road signs including regulatory, warning, guide, work zone, and dynamic message signs. Each module includes vocabulary, native speaker audio powered by ElevenLabs, and a quiz. The app tracks where you need extra practice and automatically focuses on those areas. When you're ready, take the 90-question certification exam. Score 80% or higher and earn a completion certificate. TruckTalk works completely offline so you can train anywhere without wifi or cell service. The app is bilingual with Spanish instructions and English training content. There are over 238 practice questions based on real inspection scenarios. To get started, your company provides a code. Download the app, enter your phone number and the code, and begin training at your own pace.
