This application is a quick and easy-to-use tool for assessment of acute pain in cats based on changes in facial expressions. This tool underwent rigorous scientific validation and it was shown to be valid and reliable for the evaluation of pain in cats with different medical and surgical conditions, using both image- or real-time evaluation. The Feline Grimace Scale App teaches users about this tool and facilitates real-time pain scoring in cats. It has several drawings and images to facilitate learning, including a practice session. This App can be used by any person. Ultimately, the Feline Grimace Scale App aims to improve feline pain management across the globe by increasing awareness, providing education, and facilitating the practical assessment of acute pain in cats.
